How to Use SpeedFan: Step By Step

The layout of the SpeedFan app can be a little intimidating. But don’t worry! Learning how to use SpeedFan is easy if you follow these simple steps.

Step 1: Check the Motherboard

SpeedFan is only compatible with a few computer models. Therefore, you will need to check to see if your system’s fan is compatible before you download the program. All in all, if your system can use SpeedFan, then you’re all set!

However, if your motherboard isn’t compatible, you can still use this program. It will be a troubleshooting tool, as well as a detailed monitoring program.

Step 2: Turning Off Your Fan Controls

Once you have established that your motherboard supports SpeedFan, you will need to turn off your system’s fan controls. Find the BIOS settings for your computer and turn off automatic fan settings. Step 8: Temperature Controls
